Even though this bike is recommended for 16 and up, it is perfect for the 9-14 yr old. Just short enough for his knees to be bent and solidly support him, but tough and strong enough for him. My son LOVED it! Several kids in the neighborhood ended up getting one too and they all enjoy them. However, just before the 90 day warrantee,my son's front brakes popped off going down a hill. Working with Razor Customer Service is an absolute nightmare! They will ship new parts to us and hopefully I will be able to make it work again. This is truly too bad, bc my son loves to use it.
